Partners & Impact
At EQUIP@Action, we believe that research rooted in real-world collaboration leads to the most meaningful impact. Our partnerships with leading national organizations amplify the reach of our work and ensure that community voices inform healthcare practice, education, and policy.
Wounds Canada
Wounds Canada is a key community partner in advancing our mission to support individuals living with complex wounds and chronic conditions. Together, we co-developed the Digital Storytelling Repository, hosted on Wounds Canada’s website, which shares lived experiences from across Canada to inform care, policy, and education. This partnership also led to the co-hosting of the 2022 Patient Journey Conference—Canada’s first national patient engagement event focused on wound care.
Through our ongoing collaboration, Wounds Canada supports the mobilization of patient voices and the integration of community-led insights into clinical and systems-level change.
Knowledge Mobilization Impact: CIHI
EQUIP@Action’s initiative Our Voices, Our Stories contributed to informing the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI)‘s 2023 report, Equity in Diabetes Care: A Focus on Lower Limb Amputation. Insights from our digital storytelling work helped shape national reporting on health disparities, highlighting the importance of patient voices in identifying and addressing gaps in care.
